Something New
I have finally decided to make my own curriculum for the 2014-2015 school year. Spending money on books, workbooks, and prep fees has taking its toll on my finances. Ive' spent countless hours researching how to make my own curriculum. There was no way way to do this,I could purchase how to's and already built subjects for my kids, but my husband bought me a mac last year for my birthday.
I decided to see what programs were already in place on the mac book air that can help me build curriculums ibooks was a very helpful tool and I've already completed the kids Art Appreciation curriculum and very satisfied with it. I will be sharing it soon as well as the rest of the books that i have come up with.
Happy curriculum searching! It's never too early to start school planning for this fall 2015!

Planners
Helpful links to homeschool planners:
- Sked Trac
- A Simple Plan from Mardel
- Free printables from DonnaYoung.org
- Random Creativity
- Homeschool Planet
I have used all of these and found homeschool planet to be my favorite! I used the planner for two years but now I use My Homeschool Grades which is everything I need from keeping grades to maintaining their transcripts! By far the best for me and my family, please feel free to choose what will fit for your family! Hope this helped!!!

The New School Year
I'm posting so late in the game but my kids started school this September on Labor day. It's no better way to start the school year off than being a proud American. With one graduated this year, I have three left to homeschool and it seems a little easier to focus on a smaller ratio.
This was such a proud day especially the fact that he was homeschooled all of his high school years!
